Directions to Butterfly Hollow

From Nashville, follow I-40 East to Exit 254. Turn right at the top of the exit ramp towards Alexandria. Immediately turn left onto Highway 141/53N. Follow 141/53N for a short mile through the New Middleton community to the bottom of the hill. Look for the white fence around a two story brick house and turn left on to Mulherrin Road. If you miss the turn, you'll pass the New Middleton Elementery School which is .4 miles from Mulherrin Road. Once on Mulherrin Road you will travel back under the interstate and through some beautiful farm country for about another mile. After going up small hill and around a sharp curve turn right at a big red barn on to Dyer Branch Road. Notice your trip odometer and travel down the one lane road for exactly 2 miles. Turn right onto Bussell Lane. There is a metal butterfly next to the road sign and a white house with black shutters on the corner when you turn. You'll drive through our neighbors farm and probably will be escorted by a dog or two and have to swerve around a horse or cow. Drive to the end of the gravel road where you will see the Butterfly Hollow sign and a green gate. You may have to open the gate. It's just there to keep the horses and cows from enjoying the garden too.

From Knoxville, follow I-40 West to Exit 254. Turn left at the top of the exit ramp heading towards Alexandria. Pick up directions from above.

From Murfreesboro, follow Highway 96 North towards Liberty. Turn left on Highway 70 heading towards Alexandria. Turn Right onto Highway 53. When you begin seeing signs for I-40, look for Highway 141/53 on the right. Pick up directions from above.

" I can't begin to tell you how much this weekend has meant to us. The both of you have such sweat spirits. And it shows not only in your eyes, but in this beautiful home you have shared with us. If there is a placed called "Heaven on Earth", surely this must be it. The world just seemed to melt away, and for us it came at a time when we needed it most! Thank you for making weekend so special for us!
